continuing our previous video title 44 meticulousorganizing tips last week this is 37 ways organizing ideas to rein inthe chaos by peggy wang, melissa maker, and random bloggerswho always “thanking†your visit. 1. tension rods also make easy scarf hangers. backstory: with a distance of 30" from wallto doorjamb, tension rods were an easy, no fuss solution. i purchased 3 of them, and got to hanging. unfortunately, i underestimated the weightof dozens of scarves, and they came crashing
down. after a few choice words, it was back to thehardware store, where i bought 3 sets of brackets. navigating my way around a power drill forthe first time, it was about 30 minutes from first guide hole to hanging rods. i'm thrilled with the results! with a non-existent footprint and findinga use for neglected space, i have an easy system for finding, storing, and displayingmy scarf collection 2. use a shoe organizer to organize socks andunderwear.
also a great idea for baby clothes if youdon’t have much dresser space. 3. make rack organizers out of old cds. to make the tags, i just used some leftovercardboard from cereal boxes, which i cut using my silhouette to ensure all were the samesize. because i wanted both the fronts and backsto be pretty i also cut decorative paper to glue to the back.and printed out the fronts onto some old cd labels we had. here you can see the front and back:though the laminator they went to ensure
a nice and happy long life! once out of the laminator, another cut aroundall the edges with the scissors. the entire process was easy enough, just timeconsuming with all the cutting and creating printable labels. onto the rod they went! i was instantly smitten! i was also excited to pick out outfits forthe week! since we just keep their shorts folded ina bin on the shelf, i used some clothespins to clip them to the shirt hanger to createtheir outfits
or you can buy them from the container store. 4. use cutlery trays and command hooks to organizeyour jewelry. you could use the dead space in your closetor the back of the door. at walmart, i found some bamboo cutlery traysfor $10 each! i grabbed 3!! along with a pack of rubber coated hooks, and a can of white spray paint! it took 2 coats each, adding up to almost2 cans of spray paint! next, i drill pilot holes before screwingthe hooks
then,i screwed the tray to the wall using an anchor and a screw. lastly,i also have a few long necklaces so we installed some hooks off the bottom to hang them!!! 5. use ice cube trays to organize tiny things, like earrings and other jewelry. if you have a lot of earrings, you may as wellinvest in an earring book is it a book? or is it a jewellery box?
the pages in these books are designed to holdyour earrings or necklaces. travel size book of earrings has two pagesand stores 12 pairs of earrings. the little book of earrings has 4 pages andstores 48 paris of earrings. the little book of necklaces: available inpink, purple, grey, gold, teal, silver or grey page. 6. put up a wire shelf in the dead space of acloset to corral wrapping paper. 7. the hardware store is your friend when itcomes to organizing the little things, like
office or craft supplies. or medication or coffee and tea supplies. the possibilities are endless. an organizer like this costs about $16 fromhome depot. 8. need shelving for your desk? use shoe racks. because.., why not ! 9.
use magnetic strips to organize your bobbins. 10. use tic tac containers to organize and dispenseribbon. first, poured the tictac tablets into a largejar and pimped the jar with some washi tape. roll the ribbon up neatly. this may require a bit more patience! then insert the roll of ribbon into the container. one shortcoming of this dispenser is thatthe roll cannot be too big, if it is it can't fit into the container at all.
last, make sure you leave a tail of ribbon(about 1 cm) outside the container. 11. use a magnetic knife strip to organize toolsand scissors. 12. another clever magnetic strip idea: glue washersto the bottom of plastic containers and stick them to a magnetic strip. you can use the cheap plastic containers fromglad for an inexpensive way to organize your little bits and bobs. pick up a pack of 4-oz. cups, a magnetic strip,
several 7/16-in washers, and a tube of e6000 glue (availableat craft and hobby stores). apply glue to the cup's concave bottom, pressin a washer flush with the bottom rim and let the glue set for 24 hours. that's it. mount the magnet, load the cups, snap on thelids and all your itty-bitties are easy to spot, nab and put away. magnetic strips are available at woodworkingstores and online. the magnetic strip provides more than enoughmagnet power to hold a cup crammed with screws
13. use nails and binder clips to store painttubes. this would also work on the inside of a cabinet. basically, i just got tired of having my painttubes festering in drawers, getting gummy from leaking oil and impossible to find wheni needed them. the "system" such as it is, is just hangingthe tubes up on readily-available "handbag clips" 14. keep the thread and buttons from your clothingin a binder or photo album.
15. use a shower caddy to make a gift wrappingstation. you could also use it as a sewing, crafting,or tool station. wall-mount a shower caddy for the perfectgift-wrapping center. store cards and stationery on the shelves. attach ribbon to a mesh container and hangit from one of the hooks to store pens and pencils. rest wrapping paper on the bottom shelf andhang scissors from a hook. 16.
use pvc pipes to organize your garden toolsin the shed. label them, obvs. 17. make memory boxes for each kid. they’ll thank you later. i just took an 8x11.5 inch shipping label and printedtheir names on them and cut them out and stuck 'em on...for a little added cuteness and to easily identify who's box is who's. 18.
have a master hamper control center insteadof individual hampers for each person. the laundry will arrive pre-sorted. hopefully. which is a lot easier than walking room toroom, collecting hampers, and sorting everything. this is insane, if you click link no 18 underthis video.. you’ll have more than 99 ideas how to organizeyour home .. even your life. more ideas.. 19.
cut up a shoe organizer to create an over-the-seat caddy for your car. it's imperative if you’ve got kids and don’t forget to store extra jackets. just grab some labels and make spaces for all the things you need during your trips. we are a huge road tripping family, so we spend hours and hours and miles and miles in our mini, and these are the things that we need the most often that can be easily stored. 20. a simple and inexpensive paper envelope holder
that can be used to organize receipts or coupons. they’re held together by labels, making this diy super easy. lay out all the pocket envelopes with the flaps opened and the open side up. print out a sheet of organizer labels on plain paper for gluing or onto label stock place a label in the center of each of the envelopes on their open side. moisten the first envelope flap and place the second envelope onto the flap to begin your row of pockets.
repeat with each envelope. finally, add the last blank header envelope to the top, open side down and sealed. 21. keep your games and cards in uniform boxes. 22. attach wire bins where you need them withcommand hooks. this is a great solution for cabinet doors that aren’tthick enough to nail into.
or if bulky spray bottles take up the mostspace, utilize the gap behind the plumbing by hanging a $3 tension rod. it takes a little trial and error to get therod as tight as possible, and balance the bottles on either end. 23. use a pegboard to get your cleaning suppliesoff the floor. it’s a great idea if you’ve got some extrawall space in your laundry room. 24. luggage tags are an easy way to label baskets.
and you can color-code them and make themall pretty and rainbow-colored if you want. 25. use a wooden pallet to corral pool suppliesoutside. everything in its place. that’s it,see you again next week with more organizing ideas like this if nothing fail our plan. if you love a lesson you just learned, leave a like, share or some wisdom using comment area under this video. subscribe, if our channel is brand new toyou,
