hi, i'm jon on behalf of expert village inthis video clip we'll be making our scrap top. so far on my project i have my birchtop and i also have my nice finished oak top. now between these two i'm going to be puttingsome strips of just scrap, 3/4" plywood just to make it a little bit more stronger. oncei gathered a bunch of scrap pieces i'm going to go ahead and set them over my oak piecejust to make sure that they will completely cover the top. that is just going to kindof show me that i have plenty of wood to make that scrap wood top. next i need to size allof my pieces (cutting) once i get all of my pieces sized correctly we can go ahead andfit those pieces together. any of these seams are going to end up being covered up so itdoesn't really matter how it looks as long

as it is the exact same size of our pieces.
